There’s nothing more tempting to us as marketers than getting our internal team super-engaged and sharing to their LinkedIn networks. It seems like it should be a quick win, right?


We get it, your team are busy. They barely have time to clear their inboxes, so understandably, sharing on LinkedIn falls to the bottom of the heap.

If you’re a marketer trying to get your internal team to share your amazing, thought-leading content and no one is playing along, don’t despair. You’re not alone! We see it alllllll the time.

But why? *shakes fists to the sky* Why?!

Back to basics, baby

Is it because they don’t like the content or don’t think it’s valuable? (Nope.) 👎

Is it because they don’t know what to say when they share it? (Sometimes, but usually nope.) 👎

Is it because they don’t have time? (Sometimes, but it’s even simpler than that.) 👎

It’s because many of them don’t know how.

We’ve seen it across several of our clients. Internal team members don’t quite understand how LinkedIn works. They’re afraid that if they try to post something and they ‘do it wrong’, that they’ll seem foolish or be laughed at on a platform where it’s important to be professional.

When it comes to social media, there are no silly questions. It’s better to ask for help than get it wrong.

LinkedIn sharing gets your content in front of more eyes, do it right and those eyes will be approving eyes.
