E2E Female 100 recognises the fastest growing female-led companies in the UK.

Modern’s Founder and CEO Nicola Ray has been selected as one of the UK’s Top 100 female leaders of fast growing UK companies, in a list published today in association with The Independent Newspaper.

The E2E Female 100, which launches with an event at the House of Commons tonight, is the first of six tracks being revealed by E2E this year, each focusing on distinct, but equally important aspects of UK business. It has been designed to showcase the very best British companies that are excelling, experiencing consistent growth and presenting disruptive business strategies creating an impact, not just in their own sector, but also on a national and global scale.

Modern, which was founded by Nicola Ray and husband Stuart in 2012, was selected based on analysis of Go Live Data and Experian, according to specific criteria and official publicly available data.

Nicola Ray, CEO at Modern said: “As a team, we have achieved huge growth over the past three years, trebling in size and scaling up to work with CMOs and senior marketing leaders at some incredible global businesses. We’ve adapted our proposition to meet the strategic needs of our clients and help equip them for further growth, so being invited into this community of other ambitious, growth-orientated founders is a fantastic opportunity.”

“Being recognised in the E2E Female 100 list is an achievement that I’m really proud of and I’m looking forward to meeting the other female leaders at the House of Commons event. I hope this will be the start of a long journey in learning from, and inspiring, each other.”

Shalini Khemka CBE, Founder and Chief Executive, E2E said: “Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of any economy. At E2E, we have focused on supporting entrepreneurs over the last decade and, with the current economic climate, it is critical that we recognise and celebrate the contribution of the UK’s fastest-growing companies and better understand the future challenges that they face. We welcome the 100 into our E2E ecosystem to support them with their extraordinary entrepreneurship.”

“The recent pandemic and cost of living crisis have generated start-ups at record levels. The UK has one of the best start-up ecosystems in the world, however, our world ranking for scale-up entrepreneurship has dropped to 25th place. E2E 100 is also designed to correct that imbalance, provide recognition and a platform where the UK’s innovators and business generators will flourish.”

E2E was founded in 2011 with the support of Sir Richard Branson, Lord Bilimoria CBE, DL, Duncan Bannatyne OBE, Kanya King CBE and other leading entrepreneurs to support high growth founders. It now has a community of circa 24,000 E2E Ambassadors contributing £230bn to the UK economy and employing 1.15m people. For more information about E2E and the E2E 100 visit www.e2exchange.com.
